It's very easy to get lost in Prague. Narrow, twisty streets, small passages, steep stairways--you could walk for hours and never get bored. When I lived there, a Czech monk named Father Gorazd would take me on walks around the city. I especially loved the time of day when the gas lamps lit up.

The Municipal House. It doesn't matter what the building, almost everything is beautiful in Prague.

Many houses in Hradcanske (the part of town near the Castle) have their own logos...so that you live not at an address, but "at the black rose" or "at the three violins." The very steep Nerudova Street, where these houses with these logos are, is particularly stunning. |
