A trip back to visit...spring 2000

Stilllife in Prague: my backpack and my beer in the street at 10 a.m. My friends found it endlessly annoying that I would scatter my possessions so carelessly around train compartments, cafes, bars and yes, even the middle of the street. The worst was when I unknowingly dropped my plane ticket in the middle of the Zurich airport, but a nice little Swiss girl picked it up for me.

Kampa (The Devil's Stream). A little piece of Venice in Prague.
Powder Tower (Prasna vez) A Gothic building from 1475, probably used to store gunpowder.
At my old haunt, U Maleho Glena. It's a cool little jazz bar near the castle.
Smiling with my bread: early morning breakfast in Prague.
An accordion player on the Charles Bridge, Prague. The river is the Vltava,
also known to German speakers as the Moldau.
